I was in my booth at the exhibit hall in Ft. Worth, Texas when Ed told me there were two Longhorn cattle at the loading dock!
I was a little embarrassed asking this craggy cowhand’s permission to take a photograph. He smiled (indulgently, I thought) and shrugged his shoulders. But we did get a photo, and more importantly, I got to pet this beautiful animal.
Ten minutes later and under escort, the two bulls were parading through the exhibit hall (I should mention this was a conference geared towards Texas veterinarians) But the image was still rather surreal…
