A couple taking a ten day road trip stopped at a gas station not realizing their family was about to become one more. When coming out of the station the couple noticed a small puppy waiting beside their car as if ready to go. After asking people in the gas station lot and employees nobody claimed the dog. As the couple was looking at the different vegetation caught up in the puppy’s fur a woman who feeds stray dogs pulled into the lot. After conversing with the woman and finding the puppy was a stray the couple decided it would be the right thing to do to take it where it could be cared for. After just a few minutes back into the road trip the couple realized that this puppy was not just going to a shelter, it was coming home.
