When we were exhibiting at the recent Humane Society gathering in Orlando, Annemarie Lucas came by for a chat and to look at some of my sterling silver bone jewelry.
I noticed she was wearing one of the kitten and puppy heart pendants I designed for the ASPCA and she told me (to my great pride) that she’d given them to all of her co-workers for Christmas! Pretty sweet.
If you’re unfamiliar with this lovely lady, she has been the driving force behind the Animal Planet feature show Animal Precinct for the past several years. She told me the show was no longer being filmed but had served its purpose.
Annemarie can be proud of having raised millions of people’s awareness of the animal cruelty issue, and of course she is continuing her good work every day. Great job, Annemarie!
