To me, bunny jewelry should be adorable, just like the real thing.
I know rabbits destroy crops, eat their way through gardens, nibble on low lying flowers and ornamental vegetation- but I can’t help saying “awww” when I see the real thing camped out on someone’s lawn, pretending invisibility.
Maybe it goes back to childhood and the Easter bunny. Maybe it comes from having an animal fanatic for a mother. Whatever it is, I don’t imagine much will change that ingrained response.
With the popularity of house rabbits booming, I know I’m not alone. I’ve met some women involved in finding homes for rescued rabbits, and learned a little bit about them as house pets. Such as watch your wires (they like to nibble them), train them to “do their business” in a litter box, and fix up a room where they can hop around undisturbed. Imagine that, a rabbit room!
