The Magic Zoo is reinventing itself. My son, David Rosenfield is joining our business. So I thought I’d introduce you early this year. He will be handling the “business end” of things and help maintain the website, track your orders when needed, and so on.

Of course I am still here, and you can always email me personally or even call me on the phone. I’ll be designing some exciting new jewelry in 2021 as well. Be sure and let me know if there is a particular design you are interested in seeing from me!
Last year was a tough one for so many of us. And my heart goes out to each and every one of you who has been ill or lost a loved one.
Sadly, my beloved husband of 44 years passed away from a heart attack in December. Some of you know about this already, but since I consider all of you part of The Magic Zoo family, I’ve decided to make his passing known. If you’ve ever spoken to him personally, you know what a delightful, soft spoken and caring man he was.
The Magic Zoo is continuing. More than ever your emails, comments and orders are appreciated. I am learning how to create email offers all by myself now, so be patient with me while I learn the ropes. I will continue to have offers and updates throughout the year.
And expect a personal call from me from time to time. I really love talking to you on the phone, and actually connecting with you “in person.”
My best wishes for you as the New Year proceeds.
With love from your animal loving artist,
Merry

Hi Merry.
Thank you for sharing such a personal and painful change in your life. As we heard yesterday, it is only through remembering that we heal. Thanks for all the great years of your work! For many years my RVT’s would strive to reach the 10 year mark at our vet practice. We would gift them a gold caduceus to mark this milestone! Glad you are continuing your important work!! All the best, Dr Katheryn Hinkle
So very nice to hear from you, Dr. Hinkle! I am very lucky to have The Magic Zoo. It gives me much comfort to continue creating. And it is so heartwarming to know you are giving your RVTs my vet tech caduceus when they reach the 10 yer mark! If you’ve told me that before, I had forgotten. Warm wishes, Merry

Dear Merry,
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family all. I join others in wishing you hope in the midst of your sorrow and comfort in the midst of your pain. There is a meaningful poem that has helped us and I am sharing it here: “That wonderful memories are woven in gold, and that this is a picture you will tenderly hold, deep in your heart where your memories are kept – to love, to cherish, never to forget!” Always remember that those we love never go away, they are with us always. Truly, I am happy that your son is home with you! I hold you in my prayers.
it’s me … Penny (from Wisconsin)
Penny, so very nice to hear from you. And thank you for the lovely poem. I very much agree that loved ones are never completely gone. – Merry
Dear Merry,
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family all. I am wishing you hope in the midst of your sorrow and comfort in the midst of your pain. We know, from personal experience, that wonderful memories are woven in gold, and that this is a picture you will tenderly hold … deep in your heart where your memories are kept – to love, to cherish, never to forget! Always remember that those we love never go away, they walk beside us each and every day! It is good to think about this: that those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there is a memory … they live on in our hearts to forever stay. I am happy that your son is home with you! I hold you in my prayers.
it’s me … Penny (from Wisconsin)

Merry – So sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. 2020 was devastating to so many families. I cannot imagine the loss of your husband of so many years and your business partner helping you on your journey of being able to share your artistic designs with so many. I was able to give my niece her beautiful charm bracelet and “cow” charm last weekend as we had to postpone our Christmas celebration until Saturday due to family illness.
I look forward to seeing your new designs and hearing from you.
Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts, Janet. Yes, 2020 was a year we would all like to forget. The future is the important thing, and I promise to continue creating. – Merry

Hi Merry, and sympathies for your loss.
I’m glad the Zoo continues. Sometimes I go on just to browse. You called me very recently, an unexpected surprise which I appreciated. I’m glad your son is coming in to help with things. You sounded great, although I know getting used to the new normal is not easy. Best wishes for the future.
Jim T.

Dear Merry,
Please accept my sincerest sympathy to you and your family. Yes, I’ve spoken with your husband over the phone when I first inquired about ordering my little gold Bichon pendant. He was very nice to me, very friendly and polite. You’re far from me…I’m in southwestern corner of Penna., 60 miles south of Pittsburgh. but I feel your hurt in my heart. Your son will be a great help to you in your business and grief. Take care and know others are thinking of you and your family at this sad time. If I ever get out in your area, I’ll look you up. I have a niece in San Diego which I visited when I went on a Jazz cruise that left from San Diego to Mexico. I flew from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where I lived for 15-20 yeqrs after my husband passed, to San Diego then. You live in a beautiful part of U.S. Youll get thru this sad time, Meryy, but remember time helps and your wonderful work designing jewelry of animals is a gift to all of us. Please take care of yourself and stay well.
With love,
Joanne Schiffbauer, kitty, Triste’, kitty, CiCi, and my dear, dear puppy Bichon Frise, Elese, named after a jazz singer Elise Regina from Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
It is so nice to hear from you, Joanne! It was a joy to meet you on the phone, and get to know a bit about you and your life. Take care of yourself, and thank you so much for the kind thoughts. – Merry
