Our grandaughter turned 2 on September 9th. We had a party at our house in the late morning- Ada’s best time. She arrived with a bouquet of helium balloons- chattering about the colors and yanking them down by their matching ribbons.
Grandpa and Grandma Forrest, Aunt Cake, Daddy David and his friend Jesus (from Columbia, South America), Mommy Diana, Rick-the musician, 3rd cousin Donna and Ed and I (Grammy and Grandaddy) all showered her with gifts.
Ada was polite, unwrapping them and giving each a little pat or a quick glance. But we all knew the REAL birthday winner- way off her private little birthday-o-meter fun scale were her beloved balloons.
